Hello to all after my long absence from the KLARINET list. =20
Somehow, I became @-----.=94 ' m guessing that,during my=

absence, discussion after discussion focused upon the standard time-
worn fare...reeds, mouthpieces, ligatures, favorite artists, style=
=20
analysis, and so on. All important topics, to be sure; all likely=
=20
discussed at length...

Let'=92s move on to new ground! I offer the following proposition,=
=20
and invite your remarks:

The applied music degree represents a disservice to the=20
average degree candidate and should be eliminated from the=20
curricula of universities and colleges, and reserved for award=20
only in our larger conservatories.
