Chad,
I have only limited experience with sax mouthpieces but all my
frinds who play loud jazz seem to be playing on things like Berg Larsens
and (for the real loud situations) Dukoffs. The Link metal seems popular,
as do all Meyer ones, especially the 5* and 6, 6*. They tend to be rather a
little milder and quieter than most but I use a 5 for light jazz and would
have problems screaming over a big band on it. It depends on your
situation. My best advice, of course, is to get to a good store and try
out everything. Good luck. Hope I've been of some use.
