If you give old reeds a short bath in Hydrogen peroxide, they can sometimes
enjoy a short second life. Outside of that, I've seen some very nice Xmas
tree ornaments made using old reeds tied together with red and green yarn...
Also, some students feel that a bonfire of old reeds burned as an offering to
the "Reed Gods" will bring you better reeds in the future :)
