You'll have to decide _when_ to discard old reeds (when they're worn out
comes to mind), but what to _do_ with old reeds? Two solutions come to
mind. Either grit your teeth and start discarding or create your own
version of that wonder gracing my teacher's studio, the REED SCULPTURE! It
could open a whole new world of art to you and give you that special
feeling of sastisfaction only felt when following the dictum "reuse,
reduce, recycle." You, too, can watch your very own reed sculpture grow
and grow! (Just don't let your cat knock it over. I happen to know that
that can drastically change its architecture....)
