I hired a plastic Bundy bass long-term before buying my (not THAT much better,
but cheap) Noblet thing. The Bundy was quite forgiving to blow, but the keywork
was really shoddy - very thin rattly metal, and the screws needed continual
tightening. The Noblet was unplayable when I bought it, but after I'd done some
very unprofessional repairs, it gave me no trouble - apart from mouthpieces, but
that's another story ...
