What you say about Charlie is well known. He is honest. He is a wonderful
craftsman. He makes fine mouthpieces. He is, unfortunately, not reliable.
It is not that Charlie is mean or deceitful. Not at all. He simply
overcommits himself and then sort of goes into a spin in which nothing
gets done for a while.

I have found that one way to deal with Charlie is simply to send him some
money and force him to send you products. Charlies is so honest that when
he gets your money he starts to feel guilty for not having sent your the
products you wanted, so he robs from Peter to pay Paul. That's what
happened to the mouthpieces he had put aside for you. Somebody sent him
some money and he sent your mouthpieces to that person.

If what you get you don't like, send them back and eventually you
will get your money back.

But if you want responsiveness, don't go to Charlie. He is psychologically
unable to provide it.
