Is there any one on the List from Birmingham...or anyone familiar with the=
School of Performance Studies at Birmingham University?

I'm contemplating further postgraduate study (musicology) at the music dept=
there - my area of interest in British music of the 19th and 20th century,=
which the dept at Birmingham has a specialist in - and I'm wondering if=
anyone out there is familiar with the Universtiy or the city and could give=
me their thoughts on the place!!! I would appreciate any thought on the mat=
ter!!!

P.S - I may as well make this thoroughly unrelated...my current research is=
on the operas of Dame Ethel Smyth (1858 - 1944), and I suspect there are=
others out there also involved with research on her work...if there's=
anyone out there....... :-) !!
