"Ain't it great?" Somebody posts a question in Flemish/Dutch(?), and two
people were able to respond immediately with a translation. I've always been
impressed with the diversity of knowledge which resides on the Klarinet list,
but this is really something! Maybe the writer will actually make a contact
with somebody who wants to sell their bass clarinet! How many people do we
have on this list? Maybe 300 or so? Such a small gathering, and yet such a
broad network of epistemological value. I'm a clarinetist, but I also
subscribe to the flute forum on the internet for exposure to more dialogue and
exchange. There's also the classical chat room on AOL, as well as so many
other venues for discussion of classical music. Nothing has yet to compare
with level of sophistication we have right here..
