The Festival clarinet has been around in Europe for a while. I played on
at a festival in Europe in 1988 that belonged to a Swedish player.
Recently, Guy Chadash of NYC has been importing them. Many fine players
have bought sets. Guy Chadash of NYC has been importing them. I also tried
six or so at International Musical Suppliers recently.

The Festival has Silverplating, an extra a-flat/e-flat lever and metal
tenon rings. The bore and scale are different from an R-13. Perhaps it is
the RC bore. I really don't know.

I found one exceptional one but because of the difference in scale I
decided on an R-13. I would have to have a set to feel comfortable. The
price is around $1,800 as opposed to $1,500 for a nickelplated R-13. Hope
this helps.
