A post on this list this morning made known the poster's wish to
have access to David Ross' dissertation on the Chalumeau.

In less than 12 hours, the author of the dissertation gets on the
board and offers outstanding assistance to the original poster,
including several ways to get the dissertation, and several new books
on the subject.

Tell me the Internet isn't great???!!!

David, when I went through El Paso last summer by car on my way to Florida,
I should have stopped by your house and insisted on you giving me lunch
in return for a peek at my basset horn. But when I read your helpful note
today, I decided that the next time I go through E-P, you don't even have
to peek at my basset horn, just give me lunch!!
