I myself only play Buffet soprano clarinets. I play a Selmer 33 c
extension bass, my only non-buffet instrument. Unless Yamaha makes a D
currently, I would not buy any other brand of d, were I shopping.
Leblanc, as far as I know, has not introduced an Opus d yet. Thus, I
would have to go with Buffet. As most professionals, including myself,
play Buffet e-flat clarinets, I believe they would agree, as the scales
of the Selmers are radically different. It would be too hard to match
the differences.
