Al Asercion was my teacher for two years in high school. He was a great
player with the circular breathing and double and triple tongue stuff, but he
was too much of a show off. He spent more time playing in my lessons than
teaching. I heard the same from several other students.

He did inspire me too though. I learned Rigoletto and played it with my
highschool band because of him. He also charges way too much for his
services. His lines got old.

I do have found memories of Al too, but I'm grown now and can see where he
was imperfect like the rest of us. The only thing that bugs me today though
is that he used people to get ahead.
