I'm trying to remember what advice was given about correcting a clarinet
that plays flat above the stave. I tried searching the archive by
sending a message to "LISTSERV@-----.BITNET" with the following
in body of note:

search flat in Klarinet

But got nothing back except error messages. Can anyone point out 1) what
I'm doing wrong in trying to search the archives and/or 2) send me the
consensus of what one can do to make an instrument not play flat above the
stave. I vaguely remember Clark Fobes making a suggestion about modifying
the speaker tube or something...??!
