Considering the recent discussion on key characteristics, I thought the list
might appreciate this "blooper" from a 2nd year opera essay I have had the
pleausre of marking!!! (well - entertainment at least!)

The opera under discussion is Mozart's "The Magic Flute"

" Symbolism is shown by the figure 3 being frequently used. The principle key is
E flat major, which has three flats, three boys and three ladies"

The same student goes on to describe C major as a "basic" key; G major as "an
open hearted key" and A minor as "a blank, lonely key"

So there!
