Is a saxophone a horn?

I guess to answer this question, you have to define horn. I have
a feeling that there are many definitions for the word horn. The
following is a very technical definition of the word horn. I hope
some of you non-professionals can understand these technical
terms.

Horn: A musical instrument, that when blown on one end, the
sound comes out the other end.

By this definition, a saxophone is no more a horn than a clarinet,
since a good part of the time, most of the sound comes out of
the open holes, not the other end.

Also, this definition of horn does not work unless you define
the technical term 'blown'.

Blown: To make the sound of the raspberry.
