Ok, i have this thing about Vito clarinets... everytime i've played on one,
it's been a shocker of an instrument.
We're talking the plastic beginner models here..the school i went to
bought a whole lot of them, and i had the misfortune to forget my own
clarinet on occasions, so i had to play one of the Vitos.
Reader, they were awful. Even after we (another couple of clarinettists
and I) put a decent mouthpiece and reed on them, they still had a really
terrible tone, being hard to control, and hard to blow properly..
The beginner clarinettists would not seem to learn to control their playing
as quickly on a vito as they did if they had yamahas, etc..
Now, is it just the particular lot of musicians that were at my school at
that time and I, or does anyone else out ther have the same opinion of Vitos?
Or is it that we just got a bad batch..?

Just wondering..
