Tom,
Mozart did this with his oboe concerto (in C major) when he
transcribed it for flute (into D major).
On another note, I have a transcription by Lucien Caillet of the
third movement of Tchaikovsky's Violin Concerto for clarinet. The original
was in D major, and the transcription is in C (concert, D written). I also
have Eric Simon's transcription of Haydn's Cello Concerto in D major for
clarinet (Bb major).
That's all I can think of off hand.
