I had added my comments in favor of Neidich's virtuosity on his Weber/Rossini
CD about a week ago. In thinking about this again, I remembered one
performance he took part in at Eastman School where one of the Mozart
Serenades for WW Octet was played, either K375 or K388. Neidich was playing
the 1st clarinet part, and was tongueing runs where he really stood out from
the group, rather than blending and trying to match articulation.

My feeling are still the same about his solo work - I enjoy hearing his
unique (as far as I am aware) ability. I don't think it is appropriate for
ensemble work, however.
