Subj: THE important part of the instrument

We seem to agree that the most important part of the instrument lies
above the left hand joint. Certainly any competnet player inserted
above my mouthpiece would improve the performane of the instrument.

I am really picky about the "setup"; I am using Blackmasters on a
Selmer S w/ BG ligature & reverse taper barrel. I try to keep a few
working reeds ready. But it still takes a few minutes to groove on
a different one when I first put it on. I think I am adjusting to the
set up.
