Subj: Any bass clarinets is San Fran?

I am looking for a bass clarinet, Eb extension only, and I was wondering
if there are any shops in San Fransisco to look in. Or perhaps people
who buy/sell instruments in the area? I will be in San Fran for a week
later in June, and any names would be greatly appreciated!!!!

A different subject.....

There has been quite a bit of talk about the basset horn lately, and if
you are interested in them , the Galpin Society Journal is a great
resource. Two issues come to mind...September '86, with an article on
the Clarinette d'Amour and bassett horn, by Albert Rice. Also, December
1987; "The Earliest Basset Horns," by Nicholas Shackelton. Happy reading!!
