Georgiana,
I second David Niethamer's recommendation. The name of the
composition is (not too surprisingly), "Quartet for Clarinet (A), Violin,
Cello, and Piano" by Peter Schickele (Elkan-Vogel, Inc.). I performed it a
few years ago and recommend it highly. There is a fine recording of the
Quartet by David Schiffrin on Vanguard Records (VSD 71278).
Although not exactly what you've asked about, there is also a
fine quartet for clarinet, viola, cello, and piano by Heinrich Kaminski.
Although I haven't yet played it, I've heard it, and it's high on my
performance wish list.
