Ed,
I just performed the Reinecke Trio for Cl., Hn., and Pno. It is
FABULOUS!!!! It approaches Brahms in its scope and craft. It actually
sounds quite Schumannesque. Unfortunately, the edition is a mess..
Typical Music Rara B.S. You'd think that they cared to publish something
useful which didn't have dozens of typos. Not to mention that they could
have numbered the measures! They are soooooooo TACKY! Anyway, this is a
work not to be missed, tho you'll have to do a hatchet job on the
editing. But it'll be worth it. BTW, am I remembering correctly that we
met at Russianoff's? You're name rings a bell.
