You got your French backwards, Fred. In french, the adjective
usually comes after the noun it is describing; therefore, Freres
Martin would be translated as 'Martin Brothers'.

On the subject of rubbish on this list. I think the eclectric
backgrounds of the various contributors of this list is what makes
it more interesting than other lists. The young girl who describes
the antics of her high school band, for instance, certainly brings
a different perspective than the symphony orchestra members.
I for one, welcome all types of contributions, as long as it can
be linked to the common thread of relating to the clarinet.
One needs to develop skills in browsing through the subject listing
and pass by those subjects that are of no interest to the subscriber.
I, for one, always skip the subjects dealing with looking for sheet
music because I would rather browse through a sheet music store
to find music. But I realize other members find these entries useful
and I am not one to criticize their presence.
