Subj: Reed cases?

I was wondering what people used for storing their playing reeds.
I am looking for a case and have seen ones with glass bottoms and an
elastic to hold the reeds against the glass, which seem to be the ones
that the sellers rate highest, since they charge the most for them.
I am currently using a modified cheapo thing that is supposed to squish
the reed tips to keep them flat. I took off the clips and am using
elastics, but it's not very good.
I'm wondering what I should buy or try making something myself. My
teacher suggests that I get one with the glass, that has a sponge in it
to keep the reeds at the right humidity level. Any comments?
