Just to add confusion. I have a Buffet A that I keep at home, assembled
at all times except once a week when I take it apart, clean, put it in the
case overnight. The next day, I take it out, lubricate the tenons, and put
together and leave for another week. Each day when I'm through playing,
I remove the mouthpiece, swab the barrel, swab the mouthpiece and put the
mouthpiece away. Essentially, the clarinet gets taken apart and re-assembled
once a week. I've been doing this for over a year with no aparent ill
effects.
