Martin, I can fill you in on both the Beethoven 7 and the Gran Partitta
arrangements for wind octet until you will holler uncle, but I hesitate
to do so on the KLARINET board because I believe the subject to have
limited interest. So if you wish to have a private dialogue on these
pieces drop me a line directly. I have been familiar with the Beethoven
arrangement for at least 20 years and the Gran Partitta arrangement has
a long and complex history. I first began working in that area (and with
that very arrangement) in 1959.
