This sounds like it might be a fun thread. About 60 million years ago,
when I was in HS, we had an ensemble made up of
Bass Flute,
Bass Clarinet
Bassoon (Bass Oon)
Bass Trumpet
Bass Trombone
Bass Tuba
String Bass
Bass Sax
Contrabass Clarinet
Bass Accordian

Believe it or not we called ourselves the "Basics". It was a lot of fun.
Fortunately we were all very good high school musicians, so music was
never a problem, as we could all read at sight in any key or any clef or
any transposition. so any 5-10 part music worked.
Most of us are still playing professionally (& of course we also play
other things).
