Well, some very good refacers don't actually charge that much. As Clark
Fobes pointed out, if it's a particularly valuable mouthpiece it's usually
worth it. But one wouldn't pay $90 to get a B45 refaced...

What actually can be done to a broken

I don't know how "broken" you mean... I've had mouthpieces that warped
(the rails curved) and had them refaced, but I don't think gluing bits
back together is really feasible... (bass clarinet epoxy/ tape jobs
notwithstanding)
