Yes, thank you Piotr! They are both thankfully still alive; Buddy DeFranco
is playing at the top of his ability, utilizing all his years of experience
to sound as good as he ever has. Artie Shaw, that gifted curmudgeon, has not
touched a clarinet in years, but is very much alive, living in Northern Los
Angeles County,someplace like Westlake or Agoura or Simi, and makes sporadic
dining appearances at the local delis. Lee Callet
