Jan Bach is still alive and on faculty at Northern Illinois University in
DeKalb Il. He was and still is (sort of) a french hornist. He's
probably in his mid 50's. He has an opera that has been done quite a
bit, and a brass quintet that gets played a lot. I know of a very tounge
in cheek piece for fl. and horn called Four Two Bit Contraptions. (It
could be Five Two Bit Contraptions). Are you doing Skizzen with the
slide show?

Jan Bach has just written (it may not even be done yet) a clarinet quintet.
