Well, golden rats were news to me, though I did know the difference
between a violin and a viola (the latter burns longer).
I did hear one recently about the high school band director at contest
in Texas. He is explaining to a colleague about the occasion when his
oboist swallowed the reed immediately before the contest. When asked
by the other band director what he did with the oboist dying in the
wings, he replied that he used a muted trumpet.
