I recently purchased a recording of members of
the "Trio Jean Francaix" playing the Francaix theme
and variations for A clarinet. Between var 5 and 6
the clarinettist plays an extensive cadenza. My copy
of the sheet music doesn't have this cadenza. Are there
alternate editions of the piece, or did the soloist
create the cadenza?
