For an article I'm writing for a local magazine, I'm looking for any
anecdotes or experiences anyone may have had with music and
animals (probably pets) which are thought-provoking, mysterious,
funny, peculiar, or interesting in any way.
I'm sending this request to various music newsgroups and email
lists; in accordance with nettiquette, I will post compilations to
each group of responses from that group. Please reply by email, so as
not to clutter up this list or group right now, and please mention what
group you saw it in.
To explain, recently on the Flute mailing list, there has been
a string about the reactions of pets (mostly cats) who live with flute
players - some cats run away when the human is playing the flute, some
stay nearby and purr.
And in my student days, one of my pianist friends had a cat who would
always come and sit under the piano if she were playing Bach, but not
any other composer, not even any Bach-like composers.
I hope that gives you an idea of what I'm after. And please, no matter
what address is at the top of this message, please send the email to
this address - mbennett@-----.
Thank you,

Myron Bennett mbennett@-----.net
