Did you ever hear the joke about the golden rat? There was this guy who went
into a pawn shop, and as he is looking around, he finds this golden rat. Pure
gold! So the guy asks the shop keeper how much. He says $15.50. The guy
can't believe and asks the keeper, "This is solid gold, it can't be just
$15.50?"!" The shop keeper says, "Gold Rat, $15.50!" So the guy buy's
the rat and goes on his way. He puts it in his jacket pocket, and as he is
walking down the road, a rat starts following him. Suddenly another joins,
then another, and another, soon there is a herd of rats following this guy.
He starts getting really worried because these rats start looking pretty mean.
So as he is walking over a bridge, he throws the rat into the river, and rats
start jumping in the river. He comes back the next day to
the bridge and there is still a steady swarm of rats jumping in the river. The
guy is suddenly struck with a great idea. So he runs back to the shop and
immediately the shop keeper starts yelling, "No you can't return the rat!"
The guy says "No, no, but I was wondering, do you have any golden
trombone players?!!"
