We have someone in our marching group who marches with an alto clarinet.
She usually ends up playing alto sax parts. I've marched with my
bass clarinet before. Not a good idea.

BTW, for those folks looking for alternative bass clarinet straps,
I used a baritone sax strap and it worked wonderfully, not only
for marching but also for soloing while standing up. You just need
the time to snap it on your horn.
