>From other messages and seeing other Bass Clarinets with Low Cs, it seems
that the development of the Low Eb to C range is still in progress. The
Bass Clarinet I play on, a Selmer with 3 right hand thumb keys, but the 3
key thumb idea is not for anything techincal. I have yet come across
anything that would be a "thumb killer" though, but I'm sure there exist
such pieces that would require great feats of thumb calastenics.

Any improvements would be great on the lower end, but no more pinky keys!

It's either on a beat, or off a beat.....it's that easy......

quite possibly), clarinetist, manic self-publicist, terrible bad at
personal relationships (and oboe playing), often thought to be completely
out to lunch.
