Hi,
Just for information sake. The wear on the keys is not from mal treatment.
It has to do with the acid content in the persons sweat on their hands. My
clarinet has the same "wear" marks , but I assure you it has always received
better treatment than I give myself. Don't let the worn keys deter you. If
it plays well, and sounds great, go for it! It will probably be worth the
repadding if that is necessary.
