Justin,

When analyzing the concerto you may want to pay particular attention to the use
of 4ths, 5ths, and 1/2 steps in the first section. It would seem that this is
somewhat part of Copland's compositional style however in the concerto it is
much more apparent than in a lot of his other pieces. You may want to include
something else in your paper (if that's what you're writing) and do a
comparison on how the concerto is played stylistically. Some play it jazzy and
others play it straight. Might be something interesting to include. Just a
