Now THAT is an important topic that Lee brought up; i.e., the matter
of the right stand for clarinets, particularly multiple clarinets.

I have been using a Blayman stand that holds a b.c. + 4 soprano clarinets
in the space of a square about 14-16 inches on a side. It never, never
never absolutely never falls over and holds lots of things besides what
I use it for. It is safe, easy to work with, allows FAST changes from
one instrument to another, etc. Herb Blayman (who lives in Belen, NM)
makes his b.c. stand to have two wings. Each wing can have a number of
attachments. I have an E-flat peg and three B-flat pegs, but he also has
flute pegs, oboe pegs, etc. Contact me if you want his telephone or
FAX number.

His stands are not cheap and they weigh a ton, but they serve the purpose
for which they were designed quite nicely. Piotr might consider this as
an alternative to his harness.
