I received a few private messages asking about jazz bass clarinet. I
have just been listening to a recent David Murray cd entitled Ballads for
Bass Clarinet (DIW); it is a Japanese import, but well worth the price.
I would love to know what the true classical pros on the list think of
Murray's playing. He is one of the tenor sax masters of our time, and
his bass clarinet playing has been improving by leaps and bounds.
