If it's increased speed and facility you are looking for, a 17 note scale up
and down: cdefgabcdcbagfedc--sixteenth notes. Metronme setting as fast as
you can do it comfortable and accurately--any major scale (minor later).
Gradually increase the tempo. It make take you several weeks to see
progress. Do the same with a five note scale up and down. cdefgfedc. Make
it a one year project. If you do it a few minutes each day you will see
results. Of course you can do the same with chromatic scales, parts of
arpeggios, scales in thirds, etc. Great for technique building, too. Good
