Jeremy -

My suggestion comes from a teacher of mine in San Antonio, Texas. He had
me working on scales and articulation. Pick a scale, play staccato
quarter notes up and down, slowly, say quarter note somewhere between 60
and 72. Repeat the excercise in eighth notes at the same tempo. Then
triplets, sixteenth notes, quintuples, etc. I think I ended up doing
nines at one point (the beat was very slow). I think with some practice,
that'll help quite a bit.
