Oh, my favorite note on the clarinet is easily the F at the top of the
staff. I love it! I could sit around and play "F"'s all day. The
clarion register is easily my favorite register in general for the
clarinet. But the F (at least on my horn (Yamaha 72) and on others I've
tried) sounds the best to my ear. The key of F (concert Eb) is a great
key for the clarinet. Of course, there's no one note that's better than
another...but if I were even to attempt to pursuade some non-clarinet
playing listener as to which was the most beautiful note...I'd really
milk that F for all it's worth! ;-) (Disclaimer: for some of those on
this list that are sarcasm impaired, let me clarify: The F is indeed my
favorite note...but it's just my opinion...Thank you.) ;-)
