It's my understanding that this is the note most affected by the
mis-placement and improper sizing of the register key. So much for
compromise - the twelfths are screwed up, and Bb (3rd line) is the worst
clarinet note on the face of the earth, all because we only have 10
fingers, but the clarinet overblows a twelfth!

But seriously folks - this may be a question for the repair gurus. Is my
understanding on the right track?
