In browsing through a cd catalog recently, I came upon a listing
for a work entitled "The Repentant Thief" by UK composer John Tavener. It
listed A. Marriner as clarinet soloist/M.T.Thomas, cond. Does anyone know
who publishes this work? Tavener is a composer whose works I enjoy, so I'm
anxious to get a copy of this. (The cd is on the Collins Classic label.)
Also, in same catalog is a cd of the Weber and Mozart quintets by
clarinetist Steven Kanoff. Can anyone shed some light on this
player...where he is located...is he primarily a soloist, teacher,
orchestral player...?
