Another orchestral work featuring soprano saxophone is
the Age of Gold ballet suite by Shostakovich. According
to the footnote in my excerpt book, the soprano sax solo
in the second movement is considered one of the most
difficult in the literature because of its range and
exposed quality (in other words, you're hung out there
to dry!).
