If it plays flat of a standard B flat instrument, it can't very well be a C - I
don't think there's ever been a pitch standard THAT low. Given the wide bore,
perhaps it was built specially to exploit the chalumeau register for some
particular market - maybe military or folk. What sort of keywork does it have?
