Greetings once again...

Does anyone know any techniques for removing a stuck tuning ring? Any
ideas on how to prevent it from happening in the future? I also don't
want to have tuning rings that will go flying across the room whenever I
take apart my clarinet.

(Okay, wise guys, the tuning ring is stuck in the barrel, the place for
which it was designed...)
