Good idea finding someone who rents with option to buy. I might contact
the Woodwind & Brasswind. I bought my reconditioned Buffet A from them
at what I consider a good price and got a totally reconditioned instrument
that my friends consider a quality instrument. Maybe I'll look into a
soprano sax. I'd really like to start out just getting one for a weekend
to get a sense of how difficult it might be, and what kind of sound I might
get. By the way, does anyone have a suggestion for a mouthpiece
I might buy for a soprano sax? I'm presently using a Selmer C* on my
Bb clarinet, and a Vandoren 11-6 on my A clarinet. I'm playing with a
Vandoren 2-1/2 (sometimes 3) reed on both instruments.
