Hello -

Another request for information about an instrument, if there is an
expert out there who can help.

A student brought in an old horn and wondered what it was - whether it
was worth restoring to playing condition, how to do it - or was it "lamp"
material.

The only markings say, "Josef Glass" and "Graslitz" underneath it. I
believe it was on the bell, or the lower joint. It has two rings on the
lower joint, none on the upper. 2 pinkie keys each side, and 3 right side
keys upper joint. It is quite a bit smaller than the Bb, though not as
small as an Eb - I didn't get a chance to make measurements. The wood
appears to be in pretty good shape, as is the metal, but the pads, of
course, are shot (still there, though). The configuration of the
register, A and Ab keys are normal.

If anyone can give me an idea about this horn, I'd appreciate it. Thanks
in advance.
